Xiaomi has today announced the launch of its latest bezel-less Mi MIX 2S smartphone in China. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s is priced at CNY 3,299 (approx. Rs 34,000) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs CNY 3,599 (approx. Rs 37,000). The high-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant along with a free wireless charger, priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs 37,000).
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s comes with a bezel-less display, but the company has not opted for the controversial ‘notch’ on this one. The back comes with a ceramic unibody frame and it is available in Black and White colour options. The smartphone features a 6.0-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio and the brand calls it Full Screen 2.0.
The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core Processor clocked at 2.8GHz along with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s comes loaded with a dual-rear camera setup at the back that comes with a combination of 12-megapixel Wide-Angle lens with Sony IMX363 sensor and f/1.8 Aperture along with 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The dual camera also comes loaded with optical zoom, portrait mode, 4-axis OIS, impressive 1.4-micron pixel size, dual-pixel Autofocus and hardware-level multi-frame noise reduction. The phone has received 97 points from DxOMark making it one of the best camera smartphones available in the market.
Further, the camera comes loaded with a host of AI features as well. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone comes loaded with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and it also supports face unlock feature. The device runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Ore and it is equipped with company’s new voice assistant ‘Xiaol’. The phone also supports Google’s ARCore. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s is backed by a 3400mAh battery and it is company’s first smartphone that supports wireless charging. For connectivity, it is equipped with Dual-SIM, 4G LTE, VoLTE, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (MU MIMO, 2×2 MIMO), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0 + LE and USB Type-C port.
