Xiaomi, which operates under Mi brand in India, has claimed that the company has sold a million smartphones in the country since it has began it operations in India six months back.
Manu Jain, head Xiaomi India wrote on his Twitter account, “In December, we reached a major milestone – 1 mn phones sold in India! Thank u for your love and support.”
This announcement comes just after Delhi Court temporarily lifted ban on Xiaomi India in a patent case filed by Ericsson.
Xiaomi has so far launched Redmi 1S, Redmi Note 3G, and Mi 3 smartphones in India. It is set to launch Redmi Note 4G as well in January.
Mi’s rival, Gionee had in September claimed to have sold 3 million handsets in 18 months, thus a million handsets in six months.
