Will Redmi Note 7 to be first launched in India?

Redmi Note 7 phone could go official in India as soon as in February.

Xiaomi teased the launch of Redmi Note 7 in India recently. Now the company has also teased the global launch of the Redmi Note 7.

Xiaomi global spokesperson Donovan Sung has tweeted a photo suggesting that the Redmi Note 7 global variant is set to launch soon. The photo in the tweet shows the Redmi Note 7 with a wallpaper of a globe. This clearly hints that the Redmi Note 7 global variant is set to launch soon.

Xiaomi’s new independent brand Redmi launched Redmi Note 7 in China earlier this month. Recently, India head Manu Kumar Jain also teased the launch of Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India. Keeping in mind that India is a very popular market for Xiaomi, the company is very likely to launch Redmi Note 7 much before in Indian market than other global markets.

It is said that the Redmi Note 7 phone could go official in India as soon as in early February. If it comes true, after China, India will be the second market to get the Redmi Note 7.

In China, Redmi Note 7 comes in three variants – 3GB priced at 999 Yuan which is approx. Rs 10,380, 4GB RAM for 1199 Yuan which is approx. 12,459 and 6GB RAM is priced at 1399 Yuan which is approx. Rs 14,537. It comes in Twilight Gold, Fantasy Blue, and Bright Black colour options.

The Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 450 nits brightness, 84 percent NTSC colour gamut and 5 protection. The device is the first Note phone from Xiaomi to come with a waterdrop notch display

It is powered by the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It has 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options and internal storage options as 32GB and 64GB options. The storage space can be expanded further up to 256GB via card.

For the camera department, the Redmi Note 7 is equipped with a dual camera setup with one 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with flash and f/1.8 and another 5-megapixel sensor for depth information. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie sensor as well.

The smartphone runs on MIUI 10 based on Pie and is backed up by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. Connectivity options include VoLTE, Wi-Fi, USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
