Turin spent only $2 to get his name changed and in return got a $850 iPhone 7.
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is a frequently referenced part of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. But, a Ukrainian man, 20-year-old Olexander Turin, believes everything is in the name.
This crazy man has legally changed his name to iPhone Sim (Sim translates to seven in Ukrainian) to get a free unit from Apple. In the past also we have heard people selling their kidneys to buy Apple devices but this one is something new. Will he continue using the iPhone Sim name long need to be seen?
To get his name changed Turin spent only $2 and in return got a $850 device. So, what prompted him? A promotional offer by an Apple store in Ukraine wherein the first fine people who change their name to iPhone 7 will get a free unit. No information is available on any other guy also availed this scheme.
As expected, his family and friends were shocked initially but now have accepted it. His sister, Tetyana Panina told The Associated Press, "it was difficult to accept that and hard to believe it's true. Each person in this world is looking for a way to express himself. Why not do that in this way?"
