Besides the most talked about Xiaomi Mi4i and Asus Zenfone 2, several lucrative smartphones were also launched this week.

It has been a busy week for us at The Mobile Indian, with plenty of exciting news all through the week. Karbonn, Oppo, Intex, Micromax, Lenovo and Lava all added to their ever expanding portfolio, but the biggest news of this week was the launch of the worlds first phone with 4 GB of RAM. Alongside the “Made for India” Xiaomi Mi4i. Read on to find out more about this exciting past week.

Karbonn Alpha A120 – Rs 4,590

The Karbonn Alpha A120 has a 4.5 inch IPS display with a of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone runs on KitKat and has a dual-core 1.3 GHz processing unit, which runs with 512 MB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 4 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.

At Rs 4,999, the Micromax Canvas Spark is currently the cheapest Android Lollipop smartphone and it has a 4.7 inch HD IPS display. The phone runs on a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor with the help of 1 GB RAM. The internal memory stands at 8 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.

Asus ZenFone 2 (Rs 12,999-Rs 22,999)

There are numerous versions of the Zenfone 2, which all seems very confusing. Hopefully things will be clearer in a couple of minutes for you. The Zenfone 2 comes in four versions – one model with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM priced at Rs 19,999, another with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB at Rs 22,999, another with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage at Rs 14,999. All these three models come with full HD display. A fourth version has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage but has a HD display and this is priced at Rs 12,999.

The 4 GB RAM based models have Intel Atom Z3580 that has a 2.3 Ghz quad core processor while the 2 GB models have the Intel Atom Z3560 chipset comprising of a 1.8 GHz quad core processor. ll models though have the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop version. It has a huge 5.5 inch IPS display and 3 protection. To power up the smartphone, there is a 3000 mAh Li-Po battery which is unremovable. The Asus Zenfone 2 has a 5 megapixel fixed focus front camera with wide angle lens and PixelMaster picture technology while in the rear there is a 13 megapixel auto focus camera with the same PixelMaster camera technology.

The Asus Zenfone 2 measures 77.2 x 152.5 x 3.9 ~ 10.9 mm (WxDxH) and weighs 170 grams. It has a micro SD card slot with 64 GB capacity and two SIM card slots.
