Reliance Digital’s LYF launched its latest 4G smartphone under its Water series, which is named as LYF Water 5. The LYF Water 5 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Dragontrail Glass protection. It is fueled by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor, which is clubbed with Adreno 306 @ 450MHz GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The Water 5 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
The Water 5 gets its strength from a 2920 mAh Lithium-ion polymer non-removable battery battery, which claims to deliver up-to 15 hours of talktime and up-to 290 hours of standby time on 4G network. The smartphone flaunts a decent 13-megapixel auto focus shooter with LED flash on the back and an 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera on the front panel. Camera features include Digital Zoom 6X, Touch Focus, Auto Focus, Face Detection, Manual HDR, and Panorama.
Further, the LYF Water 5 offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE (Video & HD Voice Call), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Calling, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a Micro USB Port 2.0, Gravity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and Accelerometer. The handset measures 142 x 70.5 x 7.7mm and weighs around 136 grams.
Coolpad Note 3 Plus – Rs 8,999
Coolpad announced the launch of Note 3 Plus smartphone in India at Rs 8,999 this week. Coolpad Note 3 Plus has 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display. It is fuled by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and expandable up-to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with CoolUI 6.0 on top of it and gets its strength from a 3,000mAh battery.
The Coolpad Note 3 Plus flaunts a 13-megapixel shooter with a dual-tone LED flash light on the back, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Besides, the Note 3 Plus offers Fingerprint scanner, Dual SIM,4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, a microUSB 2.0 port, and USB OTG support.
Intex launched a budget friendly phone Aqua Joy at a price of Rs 2,799. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480X800p) display with Pixel density of 233. It is fueled by a 1.3 GHz quad-core ARM7 Cortex (SC7731C Spreadtrum Chipset) processor, which is clubbed with GPU Mali400 MP2, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and 32GB of expandable storage via MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 lollipop operating system.
The Aqua Joy has a 1450mAh Li-Ion battery, which claims to deliver up-to 4-5 hours of talktime and up-to 140-160 hours of standby time. The device sports an 0.3-megapixel (VGA resolution) camera on the back as well as on front panel. Rear camera comes with an LED flash light. Beside, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 3G, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, GPS/AGPS, a microUSB port, and G-Sensors. The handset also comes with various pre-loaded apps, such as Matrabhasha, Online Software Update, i-store, Opera Mini, Gujarat Lions etc. The device measures 125 x 63.9 x 10.1 mm and weighs 110 grams.
Micromax Canvas Mega 2 – Rs 7,999
Micromax also launched its big screen smartphone this week, the Micromax Canvas Mega 2. It is armed with a 6 inch qHD IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The Canvas Juice 4G offers 8 GB of internal storage and has a 32 GB micor SD card slot as well.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system based Micromax Canvas Mega 2 has an 8 megapixel rear camera with Autofocus and a 5 megapixel front camera. This dual SIM smartphone offer 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and micro USB. Canvas Mega 2 is backed up by 3000 mAh battery.

This was the most notable launch of this week. LeEco has announced the launch of its first “Made for India” smartphone at an event in Mumbai, Le 1s Eco. The smartphone has an introductory price tag of Rs 9,999, along with 1 year LeEco Membership worth Rs. 4,900 free. The first sale for Le 1s Eco’s 100,000 units will begin on May 12 at 2 p.m on Flipkart. After the first flash sale is over the device will be available for Rs 10,899.

Intex has launched an affordable smartphone, which is named as Intex Aqua Lions 3G. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,990. The Aqua Lions 3G smartphone was launched by Suresh Raina, Captain, Gujarat Lions IPL cricket team, along with other team members. The smartphone is available for purchase through Amazon India and comes in White, Grey and Champagne colour options. The Aqua Lions 3G smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display. It is fueled by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and up-to 32GB of expandable storage via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system.

It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor, Mali – 400 MP GPU and 512MB of RAM. The phone has 4GB of Internal Memory and a 32GB micro SD card slot. The smartphone runs on the older Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and is backed up by a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery.
The Andi 5N Dude sports an 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA Resolution camera on the front.
