Just days after unveiling the X21S smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a teardrop notch, Vivo has introduced the Vivo Z1 Lite in the Chinese market. The device is a stripped down version of the Vivo Z1 which was launched back in May with a Snapdragon 660 chip on the inside. The Vivo Z1 Lite will be available for purchase for an asking price of 1,098 yuan (approx. Rs 11,459).
The Z1 Lite sports a 6.26-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. This is housed inside a glass sandwich body which measures in at 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm. The device, being the smaller sibling to the Z1, is powered by a Snapdragon 626 Processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
There’s a dual camera setup on the rear side of the Vivo Z1 Lite with the combination of a 16MP primary and 2MP depth sensors. The front camera resides on top inside the notch and features a 16MP selfie camera which doubles up for face unlocking function. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device.
The Z1 Lite runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 4.5 UI on top. The device is fuelled by a 3,260mAh battery with no fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, micro USB and a Headphone jack.
The Vivo Z1 Lite will be available in Red, Black and Aurora colour variants for an asking price of 1,098 yuan (approx. Rs 11,459).
