Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo had launched X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China in November last year. Now the company is all set to launch Vivo X9S and X9S Plus smartphones on June 6, as per a report of PlayfulDroid.
Vivo has released a teaser which officially confirms the devices will launch the first week of July. The Vivo X9S and X9S Plus will be successors to the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones.
The invite shows a girl holding a smartphone with half of it inside her shirt pocket. The phone shows the back featuring at the top left of the device accompanied by the rear camera LED flashlight on its right.
As of now, not much about the specifications of Vivo X9S in known. But recently the Vivo X9s Plus smartphone, which passed the Ministry of Industry radio frequency certification earlier in China last month was also spotted on TENNA certification website. As per the listing, Vivo X9s Plus features a 5.85-inch display that has OLED full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.95 GHz octa-core processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM. It offers 64GB of internal storage, 128 GB expandable storage via a micro SD card, dual selfie camera setup of a 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera.
The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and is fueled by 3920 mAh battery. Connectivity options of the smartphone include 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB port. The dimensions of the phone are 162.59 x 78.84 x 7.25 mm and it weighs 170 g. The device is listed in Gold colour option. The phone has a Gravity sensor, distance sensor, an ambient light sensor as per the listing.
To recall, both the X9 and X9 Plus smartphones flaunts a dual front camera setup of which one is of 20-megapixel resolution, which comes with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/2.0 aperture, and the second camera comes with an 8-megapixel resolution for capturing depth information. On its back, it has a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0, PDAF and a LED flash.
The Vivo X9 has a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It comes equipped with 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor, along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is wrapped under Funtouch OS 3.0 and also houses a fingerprint scanner which is embedded in its home button. The smartphone gets its strength from a 3050mAh battery with fast charging feature. Besides, X9 offers Dual SIM 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The handset measures 152.6x74x6.99mm and weighs 154 grams.
On the other hand, the Vivo X9 Plus too has a metal unibody design and features a larger 5.88-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a Octa Core (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 Snapdragon 653 processor, along with Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The X9 Plus comes packed with powerful 4000mAh battery with fast charging feature. Rest of the specifications are similar to the Vivo X9 smartphone.
