Vivo V9 Pro to launch in India on September 26, to be available exclusively on Amazon

The V9 Pro is a higher-end variant of the V9 smartphone. The major differences in the V9 and V9 Pro are in RAM, chipset and cameras.

Vivo launched V9 in India this year in May for Rs 22,900. Now the company is all set to launch Vivo V9 Pro in India on September 26. The Vivo V9 Pro will be exclusively available for purchase on Amazon India.

The e-commerce portal Amazon has set up a page for the V9 Pro on its site. The listing has confirmed that the V9 Pro will be sold exclusively through Amazon India and it comes with a ‘Notify Me’ button, allowing users to register for notifications for the launch.

The V9 Pro is a higher-end variant of the V9 smartphone. The major differences in the V9 and V9 Pro are in RAM, and cameras. The Vivo V9 comes with 4GB while the Vivo V9 has 6GB RAM. The V9 is powered by Snapdragon 626 chipset whereas the V9 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC. Both the smartphones have dual rear cameras, with the V9 with 16 MP + 5 MP sensors, while the V9 Pro comes with 13 MP and 2 MP camera. The front camera of the V9 Pro has a 12 MP sensor as compared to 24 MP on V9.

The Vivo V9 Pro comes with 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) FullView IPS Display with 2.5D curved glass and 19:9 aspect ratio It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core clocked at 2.2GHz along with Adreno 512 GPU.

The device is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro card slot. The Vivo V9 Pro features dual rear cameras with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor with flash, f/2.2 and a secondary sensor of 2-megapixel. For the front, there will be a 12-megapixel shooter with Face Beauty, AR Stickers. The smartphone will feature Face Unlock and there will be a fingerprint sensor as well.

TheVivo V9 Pro will run 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it and it will be backed by a 3260mAh battery. The connectivity features include VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4.2, GPS, 3.5 mm jack and micro USB. The handset measures154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs 150 grams.
