Vivo seems to be working on yet another flagship smartphone that will come with no bezels and top-notch. Dubbed as Vivo NEX, the prototype of the upcoming device has been spotted online, revealing some key specifications and features.

The image of the prototype was posted on Chinese social network Weibo (via AndroidPure) and it reveals that the smartphone will come fullscreen display with no bezels on the top or side, similar to what we have seen in Vivo Apex concept phone. The working prototype model also reveals that there could be a pop-up selfie camera, which is similarly found in Vivo Apex.

Further, in another leaked image, the front panel of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked. The front panel further strengthens the fullscreen display with no bezels, however, one can see minimal bottom bezels.

Coming to key specifications, the prototype of the Vivo NEX reveals that the smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone will be backed by an 8GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android 8.1.0 Oreo with company’s custom FunTouch 4.0 running on top of it. Apart from this, one could also expect in-screen fingerprint sensor on this one. Lastly, the leak reveals that the smartphone could come with a price tag of 4,000 Yuan, which roughly translate to Rs 42,714.

Meanwhile, Vivo has somewhat confirmed that it will be launching the latest concept phone, Vivo Apex on June 12 at an event in Shanghai, China. To recall, the brand introduced the phone during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

The smartphone is a first to feature a bezel-less design in a true sense. The phone comes with a top and side bezels of 1.8mm thickness, while the bottom is just 4.3mm thick. It features a screen-to-body ratio of 98 percent, making it a truly bezel-less smartphone. This is due to the flexible platform with microchips mounted directly to the flexible circuit, which results in such screen-to-body ratio.
