Vivo experimenting with blending finger print sensor in the display

Reports are coming in that Vivo may come up with a fingerprint sensor blended with the display for its next device. Most likely Apple would do the same with iPhone 8, later this year, reports suggest.

This first report was spotted by Android Authority which said, ‘According to Jiutang Pan, a researcher that specialises in tracking the Chinese mobile supply chain, Vivo could release a phone with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display in the next few months.’

In addition to that, Pan shared a video in which he showcased the working of the feature. He exclaimed that the launch would be exclusive to the Chinese market. Previously, Samsung had tried to incorporate this feature but failed to do so.

Furthermore, as per the report of ETNews, Huawei P11 will be equipped with a front-panel display and a display-integrated fingerprint sensor. Rumours also claim both Huawei and Xiaomi are looking forward to adding in-display fingerprint scanners into their upcoming releases.
