Videocon Cube 3 with Panic Button, 3GB of RAM launched at Rs 8,490

The smartphone runs on runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Videocon has announced the launch of its new smartphone called Videocon Cube 3. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,490 and will be available via retail stores across the country.

The smartphone comes with ‘SOS-Be Safe’ emergency response app. The uses power button as the panic button to send an alert to the pre-defined numbers in case of emergency. Further, company has decided to introduce the panic button (‘SOS-Be Safe’ emergency response app) across its entire range of smartphones.

“Offering a prompt and one-stop solution, the ‘SOS-Be Safe’ app comes with highly responsive and ingenious features including Alert, Walk with ME, and Reach on Time. The users can trigger these features from their smartphone status bar and set security preferences like time, distance and contacts. The app makes the best use of and provides a map view of nearby police stations and hospitals for any critical situation. Videocon Cube 3 is the first model from brand’s extensive smartphone portfolio to feature this ground-breaking app”, Videocon said in a press note.

As far as tech specs are concerned, the Videocon Cube 3 features a 5-inch (720p) 2.5D curved glass display with pixel density of 294ppi. It is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor along with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes packed with a 3000 battery with 20% faster charging.

The Cube 3 comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via micro card. On the camera front, it has a 13-megapixel snappper with dual-LED flash and PDAF on its back, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with flash on the front panel. The smartphone runs on runs 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11b/g/n), 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, a port, G-sensor, Light Sensor, Gesture control, and Dual Whatsapp.
