Viber a popular Messaging and voice calling app has been released for the Nokia Asha platform devices. The new Viber app is now made available for the Nokia Asha 308, Asha 310 and Asha 311 devices. Nokia Conversations Blog posted that the Viber app will allow the three Asha 300 series phone users to engage in conversations, share photos and even make voice calls.
The Viber app was recently updated for the Apple iPhone and Google Android platforms. The Viber app is available for the Asha 308, Asha 310 and Asha 311 devices. Viber works over Wi-Fi and over 3G (only for Asha 311).
Users can engage in to chat conversations, share photos with their contacts who are already using Viber app. Also, the app allows making clear voice calls over Wi-Fi and optional 3G network. Unlike other platforms, the Viber app once installed syncs automatically with the Phonebook on the device.
