Twice as large now. Honor announces a blockbuster 2017 in India

Chinese brand claims 98.8 percent increase in Indian sales.

Honor, the premium brand from global Chinese major Huawei has nearly doubled its numbers in India. Compared to 2016, the Chinese brand claims 98.8 percent increase in sales. this comes close on the heels of the firm becoming the world’s second largest player in the smartphones space, a period during which it has consolidated its reputation as a quality player with its own R&D etc. The Honor Pro 9i was also the winner at the Device World Awards in the mid-range smartphone category, confirming the strides it has made with the Indian consumer.

The Honor range is currently selling themaximum number of smartphones online in the country, and with the increase in sales, the company is planning to further ramp up its manufacturing capacity in India, Honor President George Zhao told PTI.

The company has been a long-term player in India, and with India emerging as the world’s second-largest smartphone market, it should place Honor in a good position to build on its understanding of the market. Zhao said that they plan to launch Honor’s artificial intelligence enabled smartphone in the country early next year.

To recall,Honor 7X smartphone was first launched in China last month. The smartphone comes in three variants- one with 4GB RAM and 32 of internal storage at 1299 Yuan, another with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage at 1699 Yuan, while the third one has 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and it costs 1999 Yuan. The smartphone comes in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Gold colours.

Honor 7X boasts a metal unibody and a 5.93-inch full (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 659 2.36GHz octa-core processor, along with Mali T830-MP2 and can hold up to a 256 GB micro SD card in its expandable storage slot. The smartphone runs on 7.1 Nougat operating system and has the Huawei Emotion UI 5.1 (EMUI) user interface. A 3340 mAh non-removable battery is inside the phone with technology which claims to offer up to 21 hours of talk time.
