Sony, which has a range of high end Android smartphones which are still running on Android 2.3, has surprisingly announced the roll out of the ICS upgrade for its older Xperia Mini Pro smartphones globally.
Sony had sometime back announced the roll out of Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for its devices. Notably, the NXT range of Sony Xperia smartphones like Xperia P, Xperia U and Xperia S still await the roll out of the Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Sony has already released the ICS upgrade for its Xperia Arc s, Arc, Neo, Neo v and Xperia Ray smartphones. Following this it is being expected that the software upgrade for Sony Xperia S and other NXT series smartphones form Sony would be made available soon in the days to come.
The ICS upgrade will bring along a whole new look and feel for the users of Xperia Mini Pro as far as user interface goes. The Android 4.0 operating system has been optimised individually for devices to offer best performance with the devices.
The roll out of the ICS update for Xperia Mini Pro has started in almost all the countries of the world including India. To install the upgrade users need to connect their devices to their computers using Sony PC companion software and follow the steps suggested by the software to upgrade their devices.
