Gionee launched this selfie smartphone in India on Monday (August 22) at Rs 17,999. It is available exclusively on Amazon India and comes in Latte Gold and Mocha Gold colours.
Gionee S6s, which has a metal unibody, comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D Curved EDGE Glass display. The phone has 1.3 GHz octa-core Mediatek (MT6753) processor, Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage, a 128 GB micro SD card slot and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Amigo 3.2 UI in the Gionee S6s.
The S6s comes packed with a 3150 mAh non-removable lithium-ion battery, which claims to deliver talk-time of 23 hours and standby time of 400 hours and also houses a fingerprint scanner on the back panel. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel shooter with Sony IMX258 sensor, an f/2.0 Aperture LED Flash, and PDAF on the back. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera that has f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. An LED flash is also in the front panel. It has various camera features including face beauty modes, HDR, night mode, panorama, professional, time-lapse, slow motion, smart scene, text recongnition, macro, GIF, smart scan and mood photo.
Besides, the device offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, a micro USP port, G-sensor, Proximity sensor, Light sensor, and eCompass. The handset measures 15.5 x 0.8 x 7.6 cm and weighs 168 grams.
The Tizen operating system based Samsung Z2 is priced at Rs 4,590 and it is available via Paytm.com while offline it will be sold through Samsung’s retail stores from August 29 onwards.
The Samsung Z2 comes in three colours -red, black and gold. Buyers will also get a Reliance Jio SIM with the phone and will be eligible to avail Jio Preview offer that offers unlimited access to data and voice services for 90 days.
The Tizen Z2 has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. There is an LED flash in its rear panel as well. It has 1 GB of RAM, 1.5 Ghz quad core processor, 8GB of inbuilt storage and an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 128 GB. The phone has OTG support as well. This smartphone has a 4 inch display that has WVGA (800×480 pixels) resolution.
Besides, the Samsung Z2 has a 1500 mAh battery that claims to offer up to 8 hours of 4G browsing. Like other Samsung phones, the Z2 also has Ultra Power Saving mode. It also comes with S Bike mode.
As you know, the phone has Tizen OS which Samsung is developing for quite some time. On the OS, Samsung says, “Its clutter free, intuitive interface makes it easy to understand and use. Priced at Rs 8,699, LYF Water 10 comes with a 5-inch AMOLED Display that has resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (high definition) with 294ppi as pixel density. A 1.3 GHz octa-core processor with MediaTek MT6753 chipset, Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB of RAM powers this phone. For storage, it has 16GB of internal storage and if you run out of storage, you can add a micro SD card of up-to 64GB capacity in its expandable storage slot. However, it runs on the older Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

The iBerry Auxus 4X is exclusively available on eBay India for Rs 15,990. The iBerry Auxus 4X features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with 400 ppi as pixel density. It is powered by an 2GHz octa-core Helio P10 MT6755 processor, 4GB RAM and Mali-T860 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallowp operating system. It is backed up by a 3000 mAh non removable battery with Quick Charging support and claims to offer 12hrs of talktime on 4G network. The smartphone also comes with Anti-scratch rugged rubber finish back panel to ensure a firm grip on your hand.
The iBerry Auxus 4X comes with 32GB internal storage, which can be further expandable by another 128GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. For connectivity, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type C. The handset measures 148.4×74.2×7.3mm and weighs 143 grams.

A 3 GB RAM variant of Panasonic P55 Novo was made available this week. It is currently available from a little known e-retailer, onlymobiles, for Rs 9,699. The Panasonic P55 Novo was earlier launched in 1GB RAM and 2GB models.
