Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ gets a price cut ahead of Navratras

The company has slashed the prices of both the smartphones by Rs 4,000.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have received a price cut in India as a part of Samsung’s Navratra Special offer. The company has slashed the prices of both the smartphones by Rs 4,000.

This means that Samsung Galaxy S8, which was launched at Rs 57,990, will now be available for purchase for Rs 50,990. The Samsung Galaxy S8+, which was launched at Rs 64,990, will now be available for Rs 60,990 as a part of Navratra Special Offer. Further, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM variant also gets a price cut of Rs 1000 and it is now available at Rs 64,900. Additionally, HDFC Bank customers will get additional Rs 4,000 cashback on the purchase of the above-mentioned smartphones.

Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM variant received Rs 9,000 price cut in just two months of launch. The smartphone, which was launched with a price tag of Rs 74,990 was available for Rs 65,990.

To recollect some key specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch Quad HD (2960 x 1440 pixels) Infinity display which is curved on both sides while the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 6.2-inch Quad-HD display. Both the handsets boast a strange display aspect ratio of 18:9. The Indian variant of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is likely to come with Exynos 8895 chipset which is an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. Apart from this, the devices pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and aperture f/1.7 and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with smart autofocus and aperture f/1.7.MP F1.7 Smart autofocus front camera.

Both of them runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and the smaller sibling is powered by a 3000mAh battery, while the Plus model boasts 3500mAh battery with fast charging on wired and wireless. On the connectivity front, both the devices support Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS and 4G LTE. The Samsung Galaxy S8 measures 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm and weighs 155g, while the Galaxy S8+ measures 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm and 173g.
