Samsung Galaxy A71 5G with Exynos 980 SoC in works

The Chinese model of Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is rumored to be equipped with a native storage of 128 GB and it will arrive with support for 5G connectivity.

A recent report revealed that Samsung Galaxy A71 and A51 smartphones are likely to be launched soon in India as both the phones were recently certified by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in India. Now a new report has revelead that Galaxy A71 5G may launch in China soon.

Sammobile reveals that Samsung could be soon launching the Galaxy A71 smartphone powered with Exynos 980 in China. The report reveals that a Galaxy device with model number SM-A7160 is in the works. It is believed that Galaxy A71 for China has a model number of SM-A716B whereas the variant for the global markets has SM-A715F.

Since Galaxy Note 10+ 5G carries model number SM-N976B for global markets and SM-N9760 for China, the SM-A7160 could be the Galaxy A71 5G for the Chinese market.

The Chinese model is rumored to be equipped with a native storage of 128 and it will arrive with support for 5G connectivity. Galaxy A71 5G will feature the Exynos 980. The SM-A7160 could be the first phone from Samsung to be powered by its mid-range 5G-equipped Exynos 980 chipset. Samsung currently uses the Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9825 chipsets for its 5G smartphones

Meanwhile, Samsung will be launching the Galaxy W20 5G phone on November 20 in China. With this, it seems that the brand is launching a rebranded version of the Galaxy Fold. The upcoming smartphone will also come with 5G support. Earlier, it was reported that Samsung W20 5G will be the latest foldable smartphone that the company showcased during its annual developer conference.
