Realme has today announced the launch of its new smartphone, the Realme U1, in India. The smartphone comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage for Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively and it will be available for sale on Amazon starting from December 5, 2018, at 12PM.
The company has also announced two accessories – Realme U1 Iconic case and Realme Buds, both priced at Rs 499. For the launch offers, the company is offering a 5 percent cashback on SBI cards, no-cost EMIs, and up to 4.2TB data and Rs 5,750 cashback from Jio.
The Realme U1 comes three colour options – Ambiyious Black, Brave Blue and Fiery Gold. The phone features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ dewdrop display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display has 450 nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.The Realme U1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 2.1GHz octa-core processor and ARM G72 GPU coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Realme U1 is theworld’s first phone with MediaTek Helio P70 SoC as well as the first handset in the brand’s new U series.The phone features a fingerprint sensor at the back.There is also an AI Face Unlock feature.

The phone comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear panel with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensorwith an f/2.2 Aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, coupled with an LED flash.For the front, there is a 25-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.8-micron pixels, and 4-in-1 pixels tech andAI beautify feature that scans 296 facial recognition points and studio portrait lighting modes. Both the front and rear cameras have HDR.
Realme U1 is backed by a 3500mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on ColorOS 5.2. On the connectivity front, the phone supports Bluetooth, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, GLONASS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors onboard include M-sensor, G-sensor, Gravity sensor, fingerprint sensor, light and proximity sensor.In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 157x74x8mm and weighs 168 grams.
