Oppo will be launching the Oppo Reno smartphone on April 10 in China. Now ahead of the launch, Oppo has started receiving the reservations of the Oppo Reno series.
Oppo’s official online store as well as various online retailers in China such as Jingdong Mall, Tmall, Suning and more have now started reservations. The Oppo Reno series are also available for reservations through offline channels.
Those who participate in the reservations until April 18 will be eligible to receive additional subsidies up to 500 Yuan. Those participating in the pre-orders between April 19 and April 21 will get a one-year screen damage insurance worth 129 yuan.
The smartphone is said to release in Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 855 chipset variants. The Snapdragon 710 variant is believed to hit the market as OPPO Reno Lite. The Lite variant of the smartphone was certified by TENAA last week.
As per the TENAA listing for the Snapdragon 710 variant, the Oppo Reno features a 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor. For the camera, the Oppo Reno features 48-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera setup. For the front, the phone will have a 16-megapixel sensor which will be placed in an unusually shaped triangle pop-up camera module along with LED flash.
The phone will have two memory variants - 6GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM model with 256 GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by 3,680mAh battery that will be equipped with VOOC 3.0 rapid charging. For the software, the phone will run Android 9 Pie with the ColorOS 6.0. The listing says that the phone will measure 156.6 × 74.3 × 9mm and it weighs 185 grams.
Meanwhile, tipster Ishan Agarwal posted official renders of the Oppo Reno taken from a Chinese e-commerce website. These renders show the phone will be available in Nebula Purple, Fog Se Green, Mist Powder, and Night Black colours. The rear panel likely made up of glass shows the cameras, Oppo logo and "Designed by Oppo" branding in the middle.
