Oppo A5s with MediaTek Helio P35 chipset launched in India

The phone is available for purchase from Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata Cliq, PayTM Mall and all offline stores.

Oppo has today announced the launch of its latest budget-centric smartphone, which is also the first to be powered by MediaTek latest Helio P35 chipset. Dubbed as Oppo A5s, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 9990 for the 2GB + 32GB ROM, while the price of 4GB RAM + 64GB is not known at the moment.

The 2GB RAM variant went on sale from April 20, 2019, and it is available in Black and Red colour option. The phone is available for purchase from Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata Cliq, PayTM Mall and all offline stores. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option will be available in Green and Gold colour option and it will go on sale in May 2019, though the exact is not shared by the company.

The smartphone comes loaded with a mirror-finish back panel with a frosted texture at the middle frame that shines when light falls on it. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.2-inch display with a 1520 x 720 pixels and it is equipped with a waterdrop notch as well.

Coming to its major highlight, the smartphone is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, which was introduced recently. The new from MediaTek features an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.3GHz along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This is the smartphone that runs on the latest processor.

For optics, the Oppo A5s is equipped with a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone runs on ColorOS 5.2.1 and it comes loaded with some features including Smart Bar, Music on Display, Video Editing, and more. The Smart Bar feature allows users to switch between applications and it also supports shortcut tools. Then there are Smart Scan feature scans business cards to easily transform paper business cards into electronic ones. It also supports scan and image translation. The phone is powered by a 4230mAh battery, which can deliver up to 13.5 hours of video playback. On the connectivity front, it supports dual VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and port.
