OnePlus has started rolling out a new update to its OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones. The new update brings the latest security patch along with some bug fixes and improvements.
The company is rolling out OxygenOS 9.0.14 for the OnePlus 6T and OxygenOS 9.0.6 for the OnePlus 6. The official changelog reveals that both smartphones will be updated to the latest May security patch. The update also brings support for quick pairing with the Bullets Wireless 2 and improves the stability and compatibility of Bluetooth.
The update also optimises photo quality for the front camera and it adds improved confirm Password UI for hidden space on both the phones. Furthermore, the update also fixes issues with ringtone for SMS and speed dial getting cleared. Lastly, it also fixes the issue for loading credential required for WiFi login. The update will be incremental in nature, meaning that the OTA will reach a small percentage of users first and then the company will begin the broader rollout in a few days. Users can check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates.
Previously, the company rolled out Zen Mode and screen recorder support for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T with new OxygenOS beta update. It also adds support for VoLTE/VoWiFi for some additional networks. OnePlus notes that the beta update fixes issues inside the Facebook Messenger and offers a smoother scrolling experience with added support for PIN-TO-TOP for notification category.
