Android updates have been the top priority for OnePlus this year and they are back at it again. OnePlus has now rolled out Open Beta 14 and Open Beta 5 updates for OnePlus 3 and Oneplus 3T. After a tonne of new features in the last beta update i.e. Open Beta 13 and Open Beta 5, this time OnePlus has concentrated more on bug fixes and improvements. Before we dive into the changelog, please note that you need to be on the last Open beta build on your device in order to receive an OTA update or else you need to flash this update manually via USB sideload which requires wiping of entire user data.
Starting with Bluetooth improvements, Adam Krisko on OnePlus forums claimed that they have reportedly fixed Car Bluetooth issues and some auto connection issues along with battery usage optimisations. Further, the new update fixes ‘auto Night mode turning off’ and ‘turning on’ issue along with other issues.
Under the launcher optimisations, OnePlus claims to have fixed random system reboot issue while setting a wallpaper, occasional launcher crashes and more. Dark theme has witnessed some improvements as well along with translation improvements and other general bug fixes and optimisations.
