Nokia X to be launched in India on March 10

Curiously, an Indian e-retailer has listed Nokia X for Rs 8,500 and claims that it will be available from March 15.

Nokia is all set to launch its first smartphone, the Nokia X, in India this March 10. The handset manufacturer has started sending out invites for an event with a message “Nokia India invites you to Experience a new beginning” and it’s anyone guess that they are talking about Android based handset.

At the Mobile World Conference (MWC) last week Nokia had unveiled three Android smartphones- Nokia X, X+ and XL. At that time a Nokia spokesperson told The Mobile Indian that along with Nokia X, the Nokia X+ will also be launched in India by end of this month and XL by April this year. However, we are not sure whether Nokia X+ and XL will also be making to the Indian market on March 10.

Meanwhile, an Indian online shopping portal has listed Nokia X for Rs 8,500 and claims that it will be available from March 15.

Nokia X comes with a 4 inch IPS display with 800×480 pixels resolution. It has 512 MB RAM, 32 micro SD card slot, 3 megapixel fixed focus camera, and a 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon 8225 processor. There is no front camera in this handset. The handset has 115.5 x 63 x 10.4mm and weighs 128.66 grams. It is said to have 10.5 hours of talk time and 22 days of standby on networks.

Nokia X+ too comes with a 4 inch IPS LCD display with 800×480 pixels resolution. Besides, it has 32 GB micro SD card slot, 3 megapixel fixed focus camera, and a 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon 8225 processor. It has however slightly better 768 MB RAM.

The Nokia XL is the is the bigger and better than the other two smartphones. The Nokia XL comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD display but with the same 800×480 pixels resolution. It has a better looking 5 megapixel auto focus camera and has a flash too. Also, it comes with a 2 megapixel front camera. It has though the same 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon 8225 processor and 768 MB RAM. It measures 141.3 x 77.7 x 10.8mm and weighs 190 grams.
