Nokia has unveiled the C3-01 handset which features all the luxury of Nokia’s finest touch and type series devices encrusted in 18 carat gold plating.
The C3-01 Gold edition offers the same design as the regular C3-01 but with a touch of gold. To add a bit more style, the keypad has also been redesigned – it comes with a ceramic type feel and a matching gold theme. The device measures 11 x 47.5 x 11mm and weighs 100g, which is pretty comfortable.
In terms of hardware, Nokia has completely revamped the specs. The Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition features a quad Band radio and up to HSDPA data speeds alongside WiFi and Bluetooth, so users don’t have any problems getting connected. The hardware’s been updated as well with a 1 GHz Processor coming in this limited edition model too to keep things speedy and fast.
The screen is a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen which is same as the earlier one. On the back, there’s a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash. Last but not the least there’s a microSD card slot for up to 32 GB of expandable storage space.
Earlier, Nokia had released gold edition of its Oro smartphone. After Oro, the C3-01 is yet another premium segment phone, targeted towards people who want exclusivity and not just features and faster performance.
The company has started shipping of C3-01 Gold edition to Eastern European and Middle Eastern markets to begin with. More countries including India will follow soon. The C3-01 Gold edition is expected to be cost Rs 15,000 upwards when it will start being available for Indian market in the coming months.
