Nokia TA-1172 (Nokia X71) gets TENAA certification, could it be launching as Nokia 6.2?

The smartphone will be featuring a punch-hole screen and a vertical triple camera setup.

HMD Global recently launched Nokia X71 in Taiwan. The handset is expected to arrive in other markets in the near future. Apart from Taiwan, one of the first markets to receive it is China as the phone has now received TENAA certification.

As per the TENAA listing, Nokia TA-1172 features a 6.39-inch display. The smartphone is equipped with a 3,400 mAh battery. The phone measures 156.89 x 76.15 x 7.98mm. The images show that the smartphone will be featuring a punch-hole screen and a vertical triple camera setup.

Recently, the Nokia X71 and Nokia 6 (2019) (aka Nokia 6.2) was spotted with the same TAS codename on FIH servers in firmware. This suggested that both are one and the same phone. Hence, it is likely that the Nokia X71 will be launched in China as Nokia 6.2.

To recall, the Nokia X71 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Punch Hole display with 2316 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by 2.2GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon 660processor with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone has 6GB of and 128GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with a card. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.

On the camera front, the phone has a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 0.8µm pixel size, 6P lens, ZEISS optics, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with 120-degree FoV and 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture, Dual flash. For the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel camera with ZEISS optics. The phone comes packed by a 3,500mAh battery with 18W and it runs on 9.0 Pie out of the box.
