Nokia issues upgrade for Lumia 800, to boost battery backup

This is the third update since its launch in India four months back.

Global mobile phone giant, Nokia has announced the roll out of yet another update for its Lumia 800 smartphone worldwide. This happens to be the third software update for the flagship Lumia device in India since its launch about four months back.
This update aims at fixing some of the known issues with the device like the annoyingly low battery backup while boosting its performance as well.

Nokia has made the announcement of the roll out thorough its official blog. The Lumia 800 users can get the update through the Zune software which is available both for the Windows based PCs as well as Apple’s iMAC.
Earlier, many users have complained about low battery backup of Lumia 800. According to Nokia, with this upgrade, the smartphone will provide usage time of around 25 hours with normal usage.
Along with that audio of the device has also been improved with more bass for the music. Though Nokia has earlier promised WiFi tethering update for the Lumia 800, this upgrade stays away from it and there has been no information made available for the inclusion of the feature and when.
