Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus users complaining about charging port issue

Users are facing issue with the charging port and the phones are not able to charge properly.

Multiple Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus users are complaining about a new issue related to charging port. Users are facing issue with the charging port and the phones are not able to charge properly.

Users have taken the Nokia Community forums to register the complaints. “My 6.1 Plus also got loose charging port loose within a span of 2-3 months from purchase. It has to be kept at an angle to keep charging with some wedge or something. It keeps stopping charging process if it is kept flat on an even place. It is ridiculous that such a premium boasted device faces such serious hardware issue in a span of 3 months from purchase. Never faced such ridiculous hardware issues with earlier Nokia phones or any other brand,” said one user.

Another user revealed that it is a manufacturing defect. “I have submitted my phone at Nokia Care today and they informed me that it is a manufacturing defect and that there’s a problem with the sub-port. They’ll replace it. Unfortunately, they’ll take about a month to get it repaired as the parts are not available currently and they have to order the parts. The servicing must have been instant or at least quicker,” the user said.

Similarly, the Nokia 5.1 Plus are also complaining about the same issue. “My phone charging was loose, after a few days it becomes very difficult to charge the phone. I visited the service centre and they accepted the phone after inspection and told me to wait for 1hr. After 1 hr they come to me and said it is liquid damage due to moisture entry. You will be charged 1200 rs for charging issue in the phone,” one user complained.

HMD Global is yet to make an official statement regarding the same issue. Stay tuned with us for further details.
