A recent development has come up which confirms that the sale of Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 smartphones will commence in mid-August. An earlier reporthad suggested that Nokia 5 would be up for sale by the end of July.
According to the reports by Nokiapoweruser, in an official statement shared with them, an HMD spokesperson said,“We are humbled by the response to Nokia 3. Currently, we are ramping up our production for Nokia 3 on priority to meet the existing consumer demand. In the coming week, we will start production of Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 to get them ready for sales start by mid-August.”
It may be recalled that Nokia 3310, which was announced for Indian market on May 18 for Rs 3310 is facing supply issues as most of the retailers are complaining about its shortage across the country.
Thus, it looks like even though the pre-order for Nokia 5 has already begun, it wouldn’t be available before August. In contrast to that, the Nokia 6, will be an Amazon exclusive smartphone, and registrations for the smartphone will begin on July 14. For now only Nokia 3 is available for purchase through offline stores whichcome with a starting price of Rs 9,499.
