Starting today, MTNL Broadband users in Mumbai will be able to download double the data that was previously provided through the same plans. TelecomTalk reports that MTNL is offering users up to 5.4TB of data on the most expensive Rs 7,999 broadband plan.
The revised Fair Usage Plan limit ( FUP),capping Bandwidth in order to prevent heavy users from filling up available bandwidth,will be applicable across all MTNL broadband plans ranging from Rs 600 to Rs 7,999. These plans include six Rs 600 broadband plans, Rs 1,000, Rs 1,200, Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 3,999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 7,999 plans.
For example, the operator currently is offering six different types of Rs 600 plans, all with different FUP limits and speeds. The Rs 600 plan with 6 Mbps speed now offers 160GB of high-speed data instead of its previous offering of 80GB. MTNL is offering 140GB, 130GB, 110GB, 90GB and 70GB of FUP limit on 8 Mbps, 10 Mbps, 12 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps speed plans.
MTNL is providing users with speeds of 50 Mbps on Rs 3,999 plan, the Rs 4,999 plan and the Rs 7,999 plan with up to 2,300GB data for downloads. Other plans include Rs 1,000, Rs 1,200, Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 broadband plans which offer a speed cap of 16 Mbps.
The latest revision from MTNL is only applicable to MTNL users in Mumbai and will be valid till May 31, 2019. Closed plan users will additionally get a loyalty bonus of20GB data on their existing plans.
