A new Micromax smartphone, called Canvas Beat A114R, is now available in India for Rs 9,499. As of now, only the Homeshop18 is selling the phone but it is likely to hit other online and offline stores very soon.
As per the listing, the Micromax Canvas Beat measures 147.9 x 72.4 x 8.6mm and weighs 144 grams. It has a 5 inch touchscreen with qHD resolution. The Canvas Beat has Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM, and 32 GB expandable storage slot.
Besides, the Cavnas Beat has an 8 megapixel rear auto focus camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has dual SIM slots with dual standby feature. It offers 3G connectivity as well as has Bluetooth and WiFi. Its 1900 mAh battery is said to offer 5 hours of talktime and 150 hours of standby. It has FM radio with recording facility as well.
Note that the older Canvas 2.2 A114 has almost the same specification as the new Canvas Beat, except that it is a bit thicker (9.7 mm) and heavier as it has a bigger 2000 mAh battery. The older Canvas 2.2 can be purchased these days for around Rs 8,500.
