PC maker, Lenovo today announced the launch of five Android smartphones in India, making its foray into smartphone market in the country. The smartphones – named Lenovo K860, S880, S560, P700i and A60+ – are priced between Rs 6,499-Rs 28,499. While the first four are based on Android ICS operating system, the Lenovo A60+ has Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Lenovo K860, the costliest among the five, has a 1.4 GHz quad core Processor featuring a 5 inch IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. Its screen has claimed to have 178 degree viewing angles. Besides, it has an 8 Megapixel rear camera, 8 GB onboard storage and is priced at Rs 28,499. Besides, it has 1 GB RAM, 2250 mAh Li-Ion battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB etc.
The Lenovo S880 too has a 5 inch display. It has a slim 9 mm body and comes in dual SIM capability. It is priced at Rs 18,999 and comes with 512 MB RAM, 0.3 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera, GPS, microSD card slot and a 2250 mAh battery. It weighs only 200 grams and measures 9.9 mm in thickness.
The dual core processor bearing Lenovo S560 has a 5 inch IPS screen and has a 5 megapixel camera,. It is priced at Rs 14,999. The Lenovo P7000i too has dual SIM capability and has a 4 inch screen. It costs Rs 12,499.
The cheapest of the lot is the Lenovo A60+ which comes with a 1 GHz processor, Android 2.3, 3.5 inch screen and is priced at Rs 6,499. It has a 1500 mAh battery, expandable memory of 32 GB, 256 MB of RAM, GPS etc.
