While Android KitKat based devices are raining these days, Karbonn has silently made available two budget phones with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version. The new Karbonn Opium N7 and Opium N9 are available from Homeshop18 for Rs 5,999 and Rs 8,999 respectively.
The Karbonn Opium N7 has a 4 inch IPS-LCD display with WVGA (800×480 pixels)resolution. This dual SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 512 MB RAM. It has 4 GB of internal memory and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. The Opium N7 has a 5 megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera, and a 1600 mAh battery. Besides, this 3G enabled smartphone has WiFi, Bluetooth A2DP, and GPS.
The Karbonn Opium N9 has a bigger, 5 inch, display and with better (high definition) resolution. This 5 inch display is an IPS panel too, so expect decent viewing angles. Though it has the same Android 4,3 Jelly Bean operating system as the N7, its quad core processor has a bit higher clock speed – 1.3 GHz. The Opium N9 has much better 1 GB RAM and a bigger 2000 mAh battery. However like the N7, the Opium N9 has 4 GB ROM and 32 GB expandable memory slot. It also has Bluetooth A2DP, GPS, and WiFi.
