Photo sharing app, Instagram has received a new update that brings new features and a simpler user interface. The new Instagram 2.1 version looks cleaner and it comes with a new feature which tweaks lights to change the image quality as well. The new tweaks make the user interface minimal, with many elements trimmed down to make the image experience better for the users.

About the new feature, the developers of the app in a blog post said, "We've given you a new way to instantly transform the look and feel of your photos.

In just one tap, Lux (a feature of the app) works its magic by making your photos more vibrant and bringing out details you couldn't see before. Use it with a filter or without."

The updated Instagram app comes with a new notification bar which when tapped shows comments, images or users who are being referred. The labels on the tab bar have also been removed. The camera button has also been trimmed so it stays within the confines of the bar.
