Sony has rolled out the Android 4.0 update for its Xperia Arc and Xperia Neo smartphones globally including India. Quite strangely, Sony had earlier announced that the upgrade will first be available to the Sony Xperia NXT devices including the Xperia S, U, P and Sola before others.
Along with Xperia Arc and Xperia Neo, the ICS upgrade is now also available for Sony Xperia Arc S, Neo V and Xperia Ray as well. Following this it is being expected that the software upgrade for Sony Xperia S smartphone will also be made available soon in the days to come.
The Android ICS upgrade brings along a whole new look and feel for the users as far as user interface goes. An updated Timescape user interface will also be available for these phones. The Android 4.0 operating system has been optimised individually for each device to offer best possible performance with the devices.
To install the upgrade, users need to connect their devices to their computers using Sony PC companion software and follow the steps suggested by the software to upgrade their devices.
