HTC has announced the schedule of rolling out Android Pie update for its latest smartphones. The company details the information of the update for its HTC U11, U11+ and U12+.
The brand revealed this information on its official Twitter handle. As per the Tweet, the HTC U11 will get Android 9.0 Pie update from late May 2019. The company further revealed that the Pie update for U11+ will begin from late June 2019. Finally, the U12+ will start receiving Pie update from mid-June 2019. Furthermore, the company has detailed that certain regions and carrier deployment may affecct the roll out dates.
Meanwhile, the smartphone brand is reported to be working on a mid-range smartphone. A new HTC smartphone has appeared on GeekBench benchmarking website. The smartphone comes with the model name ‘HTC 2Q741’. The listing reveals that the HTC 2Q741 has 6GB RAM and MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.30GHz.
Interestingly, a new HTC smartphone with model number HTC 2Q7A100 was also spotted on AnTuTu. The listing says that the HTC phone will come with support for full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. However, the screen size has not been revealed by the listing. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 606 GPU which will be coupled with 6GB of RAM.
The listing further reveals that the phone will have 128GB internal storage and it is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. Sadly, the listing does not reveal details about its camera setup. It has recorded an average benchmarking score of 169,617 on AnTuTu.
