Honor has launched Honor Play 8 in China today. The smartphone is priced 599 Yuan (approx. Rs 6,000) and it will be available in China from various e-tailers like D.Phone, Vmall, TMall, JD, Suning, among others. It comes in two colours – Aurora Blue and Midnight Black.
Honor Play 8 sports a 5.71 inches IPS LCD waterdrop HD+ display with 1520 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GBinternal storage. The device comes with a dedicated microSD card slot which can expand storage up to 512GB.
The smartphone comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an Aperture of f/1.8, PDAF, and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The phone does not feature a fingerprint sensor but comes with face unlock technology.
Honor Play 8 is backed up by 3020 mAh battery with support for 10W Fast charging and it runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 out of the box. The phone has various connectivity features like dual SIM with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
