Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has confirmed that it will roll out Android Q update to Honor 10 and Honor 8X smartphones in India. Both the smartphones were launched in India last year with Android 8.1 Oreo but have now been updated to Android Pie. Earlier, the company announced confirmed that Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor 20i would also get the Android Q upgrade.

The company has announced this development on Twitter. While replying to questions asked on Twitter if both phones will get the update, company’s official Twitter handle said that “our software team has already evaluated and confirmed the compatibility of Android Q upgrade.”

The Honor 10 was launched in India with EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and was later updated to EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie last year. The Honor 8X was launched with EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and received Android Pie update in March this year.
Honor 10 features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels along with 2.5D curved glass and 19:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the company’s in-house octa-core Kirin 970 Chipset along with Mali G72 MP12 GPU. The device is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. dual rear camera setup of 16 megapixels (RBG) with LED flash and 24-megapixels (monochrome) with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, PDAF and 4K video recording. In the front, a 24-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 Aperture has been provided for selfies.
Honor 8X features a large 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with a 91 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Kirin 710 Processor coupled with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. Honor 8X employs a dual-camera setup at the rear that comes with a combination of 20-megapixel primary sensor with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with 480 FPS slow-mo recording. For the front camera, Honor 8X has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and AI beautify.
