Google’s AR Stickers now available for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

The stickers were revealed during the launch event of Pixel devices and these can use in both videos and stills.

Google has released its latest AR Stickers on the Google for the 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Users can download the from the Play Store and these will appear in the main Camera app.

Google is keeping AR Stickers an exclusive to Pixel lineup and it will be available with the release of 8.1 Oreo. With these stickers, users can be placed in the environment and one can move them around and change their size as well. Another interesting thing about these stickers is that when you place two stickers together, they interact with each other.

However, Google is certainly not the first brand to come up with AR Stickers. Sony had already a range of AR stickers in its smartphone lineup with Sony AR Effects. The app basically allows users to add objects and effects to their photos. One can also record video and touch AR objects on the screen to discover more sounds and actions.

Meanwhile, The Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone which was launched in India in October this year has now reportedly received a price cut. According to Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer, Google Pixel 2 XL 64GB and 128GB are now available at Rs 64,999 and Rs 73,999 respectively. Google Pixel 2 XL was launched with a price tag of Rs 73,000 for the 64GB variant, while the 128GB variant comes with a price tag of Rs 82,000.

As per the retailer, this offer period is valid only from 9th December to 31 December. There is also additional cash back of Rs 8,000 on HDFC credit card transaction. The retailer has announced the price cut via its social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter). However, there is no official confirmation from Google regarding the same. It is also to be noted that at the time of writing the story, Google Pixel 2 XL 64GB and 128GB are retailing at Rs 73,000 and Rs 82,000 respectively on Flipkart.
