Google has released a new update for its Search application on the Android platform and added bunch of features for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean devices. The new Google Search App update brings Google Now widget for the home screen and the lock screen along with number of new cards. The update mostly anchors and pulls data from third party services such as Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes and Zillow. The new Google Search update is already live and is available for download from the Google Play store.
The new Google Now Android app comes with a bunch of new cards for Movie Tickets booking, Movie Ratings and Real-estate Ratings (US region). With the new cards, the Google Now also brings new lock screen and home screen widgets for those who wish to have a quick glance at things.
The new Google Now cards and home screen widgets make the Google Search experience more interactive and easy to access. One does not have to tap or look for a search button after unlocking the phone screen.
The new Google Search update brings features mostly for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher update running Android devices. Meanwhile other device users will have to wait or forgo these amazing improvements.
