Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 customers have experienced strange image banding in their photos and videos both taken via front and rear cameras under LED lighting.
It seems issues with the Pixel 2 devices will keep coming up. Just yesterday we reported on the unresponsive Google Assistant issues and touch near the edges of the smartphone. Now, multiple users have encountered a problem with the handset camera performance under the LED light.
According to Google Forums, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 customers have experienced strange image banding in their photos and videos, taken via front and rear cameras with LED flash.

Further, one of the users uploaded a video on YouTube, comparing the cameras of last year Pixel device and Pixel 2 in which, the smartphones are kept side by side recording a video of a room under the LED lighting. On the right is the first Gen Pixel which was recording a smooth and clear video, and on the left is the Pixel 2, with some flickers and image banding.
Meanwhile, with the increase in the number of issues Google has now announced that both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will come with a two-year warranty worldwide. The announcement was made by Mario Queiroz, Vice President of Product Management at Google. The customers who have already bought the Pixel 2 or the Pixel 2 XL before will also be eligible for the two-year warranty.
