Gionee is reportedly planning to launch new smartphones in India today. Some websites have already claimed to have got invitation for that launch event already.
The smartphones are expected to be priced between Rs 9,000 and Rs 15,000. Though not much is known about them right now, they are expected to have a “Full View Display”.
The company is reportedly facing financial crisis but it has said that it will continue to expand operations in India.
If launched, these phones will be the first ones to be launched by Gionee this year.
Gionee last launched the S10 Lite in December for Rs 15,999. Gionee S10 Lite features a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by the 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8920 processor with Adreno 308 and 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with Amigo 4.0 and is packed with a 3100 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable to 256GB via a micro SD card. The S10 Lite is also equipped with the fingerprint sensor on the home button on the front panel.
The smartphone flaunts a rear camera setup with 13-megapixel with autofocus, F2.0 and LED flash. For the front, it features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with fixed focus, F2.0, and selfie flash. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers hybrid dual sim, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and FM. The handset measures 148.7 x 73.7 x 7.9 mm and weighs 156 grams.
