Earlier in the day, we have reported that the Gionee S9 was spotted on Geekbench ahead of its formal launch. Now the smartphone has finally gone official in China. The Gionee S9 is priced at 2499 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 24,691 and will go on sale from November 25 onwards. The smartphone comes in Gold, Black, and Rose gold colour options.
Gionee S9 comes with Dual rear camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel with LED flash at the back, and another 13-megapixel front-facing camera with LED Flash for selfies and video chats. The smartphone features a 5.5 inch full HD (1920Ã—1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and comes equipped with 2.0 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor, along with Mali T860 GPU.
Gionee S9 comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up-to 128GB with microSD card. The smartphone gets its strength from a 3000mAh battery with fast charging feature. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS on top of it and houses a fingerprint scanner as well. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a microUSB port. The smartphone measures 154.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm and weighs 168.2 grams.
