Gionee F103 launched in 1GB, 3GB RAM variants for Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively

Gionne F103 is the company's first device to be manufactured at the Foxconn plant in Andhra Pradesh.

After launching Gionne F103 with 2 last month for Rs 9,999, Gionee today announed its 1GB and 3GB RAM variants for the Indian market. The 1GB and 3GB RAM models of Gionee F103 are priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively. Incidentally, Gionne F103 is the company’s first device to be manufactured at the Foxconn plant in Andhra Pradesh.

All the three models have same features, except ofcourse different amount of RAM.

The smartphone comes with a 5 inch touchscreen that has high definition (1280×720 pixels) resolution. The handset, measuring 143×70.3×7.95mm, comes with 5.0 Lollipop operating system and runs on a 64 bit quad core processor that has maximum clockspeed of 1.3 GHz. The smartphone has 16 GB of and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. Gionee F103 sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and 5 megapixel front camera.

The Gionee F103, the first device to be launched under the company’s Fashion series, weighs 136.6 grams with its 2400 battery that claims to offer 11 hours of talktime. Available in pearl white, dawn white and black colours, the F103 comes with dual SIM slot, connectivity, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, OTG, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, 2.0 A2DP, FM radio and a host of sensors.

While announcing the launch of the two new models, Timir Baran Acharyya, general manager, Gionee India, said, “We have shipped almost 2,16,700 units from the time we have introduced the Fashion Series in the Indian market. Design, supported with features has become an essential element for consumers when they buy phones. With our F series, we have achieved to get both design and performance in one device, for our consumers get the best of both worlds. Hence, we have introduced two more variants for F103, i.e. in 1GB and 3GB RAM which will ensure an even superior experience for consumers, while keeping the style quotient intact.”
