Garmin has today announced the launch of its latest fenix 5X Plus Multisport Watch in India. The smartwatch comes with a price tag of Rs 79,990 and it will be available at the company’s official website, Paytm Mall, Amazon and Flipkart. The watch will be also available at select offline stores including Croma, Reliance Digital, Helios, Just In Time etc.
The company is targeting this smartwatch for athletes and outdoor adventurers. The smartwatch comes loaded with built-in navigation sensors that include a three-axis compass, gyroscope and barometric altimeter as well as multi-satellite (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo) network capability to track in more challenging environments.
There are GroupTrack and LiveTrack that basically allows users to keep tabs on their buddies for adventures such as skiing and friends to follow their adventures in real time respectively. Then there is Round-trip Run and Round-trip Ride routing options that give runners and cyclists an option to enter a distance they would like to travel and have the watch suggest appropriate courses.
The multisport watch comes in a distinct design as a PVD coated stainless-steel bezel with a silicone watch band. The watch is fitted with Garmin Chroma Display with LED backlighting. And it has a variety of Quickfit Bands to choose from.
The watch can track the heart rate 24/7 using its Wrist-Based Heart Rate feature. Apart from this, you get features like smart notifications, automatic upload to Garmin Connect, free watch faces and apps from Connect IQ and more. The watch also allows users to analysis if they are overtraining, maintaining or peaking in terms of their workouts. The fēnix 5X Plus offers up to 18 days of battery life in the smartwatch mode, 30 hours in the GPS mode and 11 hours in GPS and Music mode.
