HMD Global has started rolling out October Android security patch update to its four smartphones in some markets. Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 8 and Nokia 1 have now received new Android Pie builds.
As per a report of NokiaPowerUser, all four smartphones are now receiving October Android Security Patch.
The Android Pie build for Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 is V6.19B, Nokia 8 is V5.15G while for Nokia 1, it is V2.18. The update is being pushed as an over-the-air in batches. One can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software updates.
Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front sensor. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage and 3GB RAM and 32 storage variants. There is a fingerprint scanner as well, which is embedded in its home button.
Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and has a 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, paired with Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Nokia 8 comes with a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in a 2.5D finish.Nokia 8 has dual 13-megapixel rear sensors and a 13-megapixel front sensor. It is powered by an octa-core (Four 2.5GHz Kryo + Four 1.8GHz Kryo) Snapdragon 835 processor. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage internal storage, with microSD card support up to 256GB. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 3,090mAh.
Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6737M 64-bit quad-core SoC along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. On the camera front, it features a 5-megapixel shooter on the back of the device and 2-megapixel selfie camera. It is backed by a 2,150mAh removable battery and runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition). The phone is a part of Android Oreo (Go Edition) and it now runs on Android Pie.
