Oppo is all set to launch A9 in the next 15 days in India and it will be priced around Rs 16,000. It is going to be an offline model. As per our sources familiar with the development, the smartphone will be shipped to retailers this week. Moreover, we got the hands on the Google India search listing, which confirmed that the company will be launching Oppo A9 smartphone in India soon and will have 4GB RAM coupled with 128GB storage.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Oppo A9 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) display along with 90.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio and waterdrop-style notch design. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and comes equipped with 2.1GHz octa-core MediaTek P70 processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The phone comes with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card and sports a fingerprint sensor at the back panel.
For the optics, It comes equipped with dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16MP AI primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor with Dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it has another 16MP AI sensor for selfies. The device runs on Android Pie with Color OS 6 on top of it and gets its juices from a 4020mAh non-removable battery.
Connectivity options include Dual SIM, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, A-GPS with GLONASS and a MicroUSB port. The phone measures 162 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm and weighs 190 grams. It also houses a Hyper GameBoost 2.0 game acceleration engine for gaming geeks.
In another development, Oppo K3 will be launched on July 19th for the Indian market.
