In this week, ten smartphones and three tablets were launched in India. Huawei and Samsung launched their flagship smartphones. While other contributors were Intex, Celkon, iBall, Amazon and a new entrant Rio.

Samsung Galaxy S6 – Rs 49,900 to Rs 61,900
The much awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 is now finally available for pre-booking. It has a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 577 ppi.
S6 runs on Android Lollipop and has an octa-core 2.1 GHz processing unit with 3 GB of RAM. It will come in three variant 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
The difference among all the three variant is that of Internal Memory rest of the specs remain the same. The 32 GB variant is priced at Rs 49,900.
The primary camera is a 16 Megapixel unit with auto-focus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, auto HDR, panorama, flash, and video recording at 2160p. The front has a 5 megapixel camera that can record videos at 1080p at 30 fps. The single SIM Samsung Galaxy S6 has 4G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile HD link (MHL), and NFC. The Kindle Voyage has a 6 inch e-paper display with a pixel density of 300 ppi. The display is made of carta e-paper technology and has adaptive front light and 16 level grayscale. Amazon claims to have armed it with several unique features. To start with, the Kindle Voyage has a pressure-based page turner sensor, PagePress – a custom-designed force sensor made of carbon and silver, which reacts to a subtle increase of pressure, triggers a page-turn, and provides a haptic response only your thumb can perceive.
It has 4 GB of inbuilt storage and Amazon offers free Cloud Storage for all its content. Though Amazon has not revealed its battery capacity, it claims that the device lasts up to six weeks on a single recharge if you use it for half an hour reading while keeping WiFi off and brightness at level 10. There are two versions, one has 3G, and the other is WiFi only.
