Motorola had created a stir in the smartphone market by launching the Moto E with Android KitKat sometime back for just Rs 5,999. Now Celkon has upped the ante by launching Campus A35K for just Rs 2,999. Thus now Celkon Campus A35K is the cheapest smartphone to come with Android KitKat operating system.
The Campus A35K features a 3.5 inch IPS-LCD display with 320×480 pixels Resolution which is quite good considering almost all devices below Rs 6,000 have at best 480×800 pixels resolution, irrespective of their screen sizes.
However, the phone has only 256 MB RAM which will be barely enough to run its 1 GHz processor. It has also only 512 MB in-built storage. There is however an expandable storage slot in the phone that can accommodate a micro SD card of upto 32 GB.
Besides, the Celkon Campus A35K has a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera; perhaps both of them are of fixed focus in nature. This dual SIM phone has 3G connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The Celkon Campus A35K measures 119x63x10.7 mm and weighs 102 grams with its 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery. Considering it has a 3.5 inch display only, we hope this battery to offer decent battery back up.
