Camera update rolled out for Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1

The update delivers enhanced functionality and user experience to all the three smartphones and it is available via Google Play Store for the said smartphones.

HMD Global has rolled out camera updates to its three smartphones – Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1. The update delivers enhanced functionality and user experience to all the three smartphones and it is available via Google for the said smartphones.

After the update, the smartphones now feature Camera v9.0 and integrates features like Google Lens, Google Motion among others. With the update, users will now find it easier to switch between aspect ratios and shooting functions, as well as adjust parameters within different camera modes, such as the intensity of effects like Bokeh and Beautify.

Google Lens is now integrated directly into the viewfinder to provide information about the world around you in real time like overlaying information about objects right in the viewfinder or copy-paste text from the real world to your phone.

The update also supports Google Motion to enable users to capture short videos which can be shared directly to services and social media as a GIF.

Nokia 7 Plus has been confirmed to get an Android 9.0 Pie update in September. However, there is no any specific date for the rollover of the update announced by the company.

Meanwhile, HMD Global has launched Nokia 6.1 Plus for Rs 15,999 and Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphones in India. The company though did not announce the price of Nokia 5.1 Plus yet.
